NSS Unit XIV, GITAM School of Architecture, has adopted a community space in Bheemili as part of its community development initiative.

In the first phase held on October 10, 2025, NSS volunteers carried out Swachh Bharat activities, documentation, and community interaction sessions aimed at understanding local needs and fostering participatory development.

Around 30 NSS volunteers, faculty members, and the Program Officer actively took part in the event.

The occasion was graced by Shri Ganta Nukaraju (TDP Rastra Karyadharsi), Shri Kaari Chinna Rao (President, Fishermen Society), and Shri Srinivas Kumar Garu (CEO, Sagara Vikasa Sangam), who appreciated the students’ efforts toward social responsibility and sustainable development.

Dr. Vibuti Sachdev, Dean and Director, GITAM School of Architecture, also interacted with the local fishermen community, emphasizing the importance of collaborative development, sustainable community transformation, and the creation of compassionate cities through collective action.
