Barnali Chakraborty

Barnali Chakraborty completed her graduation in 2018 from Gauhati University and pursued Master of Planning with a specialization in Urban Planning from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. She undertook her doctoral research at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and was awarded the prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellowship by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for the potential real-time impact of her doctoral work.
She was a Visiting Lecturer at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Guwahati, from 2022 to 2025, where she conducted capacity-building workshops and short-term courses on the applications of GIS and Remote Sensing for postgraduate students. She has also worked as an Assistant Professor at the Royal School of Architecture, Assam Royal Global University. With over five years of mentoring and research experience, her work lies at the intersection of urban planning and the evolving socio-spatial dynamics of urban centres.
