Ar. B.K. Mishra completed his bachelor's of architecture in 2002 from PMCA, Cuttack & Master's in .Architecture with specialization in Habitat Design from Piloo Mody College of Architecture, Cuttack, in 2008. He worked as. Jr. Architect in Mishra ‘N’ Mishra Architects, Cuttack, Odisha for one year from 2003. He worked as an assistant professor at Piloo Mody College of Architecture, Cuttack, from 2004 till 2016 under various academic and administrative roles. He joined GITAM School of Architecture, Visakhapatnam as an Associate Professor in 2016 undertaking academic & adminstrative responsibilites
