Amit Bhattacharya

Dr. Amit Bhattacharya completed his B. Arch from Jadavpur University, Kolkata (2012) and M. Arch in Landscape Architecture from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi (2016).
He completed his PhD from Jadavpur University (2024) on environmental interpretation of culturally significant Buddhist monastic archaeological sites in India.

He has eleven years of professional experience as a Landscape Architect and has worked in nationally and globally reputed organisations delivering Pan India and Middle east projects. He worked at Jadavpur University, Sushant School of Art and Architecture and School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada as a visiting faculty (2019-2024).
He is associated with National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) as a subject matter expert for coastal urban landscape development and Resilience Planning Expert for Climate Resilience Planning led by International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP).

He joined GITAM School of Architecture as an Assistant Professor in January 2025, participating in departmental academic and administrative initiatives.
