GITAM School of Architecture, Visakhapatnam campus, conducted a 32 Hour Design Challenge (32 DC)—a transformative vertical studio that brought together 2nd and 3rd year B.Arch. students with faculty in a co-creative design sprint. Envisioned around the theme of INDIA@2047, this year’s challenge dared participants to explore three radical futures: Cohabitating Intelligence, Time Capsules 2147, and Sentient Spaces. Throughout the week, students and faculty collaborated during working hours—engaging in deep ideation, critical dialogue, and speculative design. This is a studio where storytelling, foresight, and architectural experimentation converged. 32 DC was not just a challenge—it was a shared act of architectural imagination, temporal thinking, and visionary provocation, crafting ideas that transcend the limits of the present.
