GITAM School of Architecture organised and participated in the IGBC Green Week '23 from 11-15 September 2023 during which a Walkathon Campaign was initiated, bringing together students and faculty members in a walk as they raised awareness about green building and sustainable practices in the built environment.The Walkathon Campaign engaged with the community of GITAM School of Architecture to encourage, promote and adopt various sustainable practices like adopting an eco-friendly lifestyle by reducing carbon emissions, conserving energy, and promoting a healthier environment. The Walkathon served as a platform for students and faculty to collectively campaign for greater environmental conservation efforts and commit to contributing meaningfully to a greener future.Overall, the IGBC Green Week '23 celebrations at GITAM School of Architecture fostered a sense of environmental responsibility and encouraged all individuals to embrace sustainable practices in the field of architecture.
