An intriguing session on depictions of AI adaptation in utopian and dystopian civilizations. The increased dependence of humans on sentient mechanisms has been alarmingly shown in films from time to time. The futuristic settlements and their immersive and interactive digital spaces enthrall but leave us with a lingering curiosity. These depictions confront us with emotional, ethical, and existential questions about the future of civilization. GSA’s Film and Literary Society (FALS) will delve into cinematic portrayals of space age futures, transhumanism, and autonomous AI in cinema.
