Dr. Dibya Jivan Pati completed his Bachelor of Architecture PMCA-Cuttack and subsequently a Masters in City Planning from IIT-Kharagpur in 2010. He completed his PhD from Kumamoto University, Japan in 2016. He started teaching since 2010 at Faculty of Architecture, Manipal University as Assistant professor from 6 years from 2010. After completing his PhD, he returned to India to continue as an academician. He joined the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha as Assistant professor for a brief period from 2016 -2017. He joined GITAM School of Architectrue as Assistant professor in 2017 and currently working as Associate Professor undertaking various acamic and adminstative responsibilities.

  • Determining the feasibility of using PET bottles as construction material in urban context
  • To study the material feasibility and propose design prototype for temporary housing structures for emergency relief
  • Strategy for promoting utilization of non-biodegradable wastes in affordable housing in India
