Shaping Spaces and Influencing Behaviour

Understanding how architectural environments influence human behaviour and emotions is crucial for creating spaces that promote well-being and interaction. The GITAM School of Architecture recently hosted Architect Prachi Sharma for an insightful workshop on 'Psychology and Space Design.' With over a decade of expertise in integrating neuroscience into architecture, Prachi Sharma shared her valuable insights on how design can shape human experiences, enriching our BArch students' perspectives and creativity.

This workshop was a fantastic opportunity to deepen our students' architectural understanding and creativity. At GITAM, we are committed to providing our students with unique learning experiences that blend theory and practice, shaping them into innovative thinkers and leaders in the architectural field.

Prachi's innovative approach has created courses like a 12-hour certification program on  Architectural Psychology for Delopus and workshops for Kaarwan. Beyond academia, she has contributed as a Set Designer and Production Manager with Bombay Theatre Company, Mumbai, and her research spans architectural heritage, conservation, and the psychology of unbuilt spaces.
