Three Day Workshop on Building Construction: Alternative Materials and Techniques

The hands-on workshop aims to introduce building construction students to various innovative, sustainable, and time-tested masonry techniques. Through practical learning, participants will experience the versatility of brick for masonry, alternative bricklaying methods (arches, jalis, and rat-trap bond), a sustainable alternative to R.C.C. with precast ferrocement slabs, and the traditional technique of laying IPS (Indian Patent Stone) flooring. The workshop focuses on imparting knowledge and skills to students and bridges industry and academia together.
